The Past Remembered
View of 13 Mile Lake as seen from Garnet Hill Lodge, near Gore Mountain in New York, during a recent tour of the Lake George and Gore Mountain area of New York State by Janet and Ralph. Decades earlier, Garnet Hill Lodge had been a skiing vacation refuge for the Pace family when they skied at Gore Mountain.

A Week at Owl's Head
Janet, pictured as she concludes a day skiing at Owl's Head in Quebec, and Ralph meet Joan and John Brownlie at the Hotel at Owl's Head in Mansonville, PQ, in early March.
While the weather was surprisingly cold, the skiing was excellent as we conquered "Lily's Leap" once more (and Ralph challenged his nemesis, Centennial). It was a fun week on the slopes (Owl's Head has a vertical drop of c. 1,770 feet) and visited the surrounding restaurants (one had 18 different versions of mussels).
